What You Will Do:
The Team Lead assists in overseeing the daily operations of assigned project(s). This position is responsible for providing support in developing, implementing, managing, and meeting or exceeding the operational goals of our clients and Company. The Team Lead will work closely with their team, project supervisors, operations managers, and the client to explore opportunities with new and emerging approaches to our clients’ business processes. This position will ensure that client and company policies and procedures are followed and will also perform all job-related duties as assigned.
- Support staff/supervisor to be successful and work as a team
- Manage day-to-day problem solving and serve as a point of contact for team questions
- Conduct quality assurance reviews, provide feedback, and offer other training as necessary
- Send official correspondence (e-mails) to team members, clients, and providers
- Work with other leads to develop policies and procedures as needed
- Provide feedback for mid-year and year-end employee reviews to leadership
- Organize team-building exercises
- Create, distribute, and monitor team members' understanding of work-related job aids
- Monitor and ensure compliance with company and client standards
- Maintain a strong understanding of all software/systems used
- Identify, validate, and report project trends/issues
- Update spreadsheets, monitor outstanding items for each client, and provide updates to leadership, clients, and team
- Perform all job-related duties as assigned
What You Will Need:
- High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of relevant experience in lieu of Diploma / GED.
- Eight years of experience working within the following sectors: healthcare, insurance, business, finance, or customer service.
- Working knowledge of insurance claims, billing, coding, follow-up, finance, accounting, or customer service.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
- Advanced problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in relevant revenue cycle processes with high production and quality standards
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with staff and clients
- Demonstrated proficiency interpreting relevant coding systems including, but not limited to, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-10 in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities fostering team cohesion, accountability, and high performance
- Demonstrated proficiency researching billing guidelines
- Demonstrated skills in providing training and mentoring to team members
- Act as a role model for team, office, and company
