A new Home Care Agency is looking to hire an RN to perform in-home care assessments in client homes and supervise home health aides. The position is part-time and paid hourly. The Part-time hours are flexible – evenings/weekends/afternoons/mornings and the area of work will be in New Jersey.
Position Summary
The RN Supervisor oversees client services, including assessment, care planning, supervision, and discharge. They coordinate care, obtain physician authorization, and contribute to staff orientation, training, and supervision. Participation in the Agency Performance Improvement Plan involves quarterly reviews, complaint investigations, and incident management. The RN Supervisor develops policies per New Jersey Department of Health guidelines, submitting them for review and approval. In the absence of the Agency Director, they may act as Director.
Qualifications
- Current, valid Registered Nurse License for New Jersey
- Must have a negative criminal background check
- Must have negative TB screen
- Must have current and valid drivers license
- Preferable to have at least one year of hands-on assessment in a homecare setting
Duties
- Complete initial in-home assessments of referred clients.
- Conduct client in-home supervisory visits at least every 90 days and document such findings in 5 days.
- Report to the agency director and record any / all complaints made to RN by any persons or family members of persons receiving services from the agency or any persons providing services to other persons of this agency.
- Complete quarterly record review; participate in Performance Improvement Plan, including providing incidents, complaints, and participation in Annual Agency Evaluation.
- Provide in-home staff supervision and validation.
- Establish and maintain all skills evaluation and competency tests for all active and potential in-home aides.
- Continuous availability during the hours the agency will provide services to clients.
- Provide assistance in ensuring the agency policies are being followed by all staff.
- Provide assistance in other areas where the director may require advice or guidance.
- Develop procedures for new care activities not listed on the current care document.
Compensation
$55 / hr. – $75 / hr.
Flexible working hours – evenings/weekends/afternoons/mornings.
Allocated Hours: Per-diem
