OPPORTUNITY HIGHLIGHTS
Trinity Health Michigan Heart and Trinity Health IHA Medical Group are seeking a highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our respected Cardiology practice located in Ann Arbor, Michigan. This role is specific to Electrophysiology and is vital in providing exceptional care to patients with cardiac rhythm disorders.
Your Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of new and established patients with arrhythmias in both outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Collaborate with Electrophysiologists to develop and implement treatment plans, including medication management, cardiac ablation procedures, and cardiac implanted electronic device (CIED) management (pacemakers, defibrillators).
- Pre- and post-operative care for patients undergoing electrophysiology procedures.
- Monitor patient status and response to treatments.
- Educate patients on their condition, treatment options, and self-management strategies.
- Procedures:
- Participation in electrophysiology studies and ablation procedures as permitted by state regulations and institutional policies.
- Assist with device implantation and interrogation.
- Work effectively with Cardiologists and Electrophysiologists, nurses, and other healthcare team members to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Communicate clearly and concisely with patients and families.
- Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP, ACNP only).
- National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
- State of Michigan License.
- Cardiology experience required, experience in EP strongly preferred.
- Strong clinical knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias.
- Excellent assessment, diagnostic, and treatment skills.
