If you are a DVM student looking to gain experience, look no further than Hicks Animal Clinic. At HAC, we will combine your interests with opportunities at our clinic as well as expose you to foundational ideologies and practice philosophies that will prepare you for the mental and physical challenges that we face in the veterinary industry.

We pride ourselves on the quality, transparency, and thoroughness that we provide our clients. Additionally, we maintain a collaborative, team-oriented support staff.
In addition to an extensive medical case workup curriculum, you will participate in shadowing medical cases, examine/workup drop-off appointments with DVM supervision, observe surgical procedures, and assist in dentals. You will also receive mentorship regarding building client/patient relationships and proper etiquette.
Our ideal externship will be approximately 2-3 weeks in length; however, the length and start date of the externship are negotiable based on the needs of each individual!
