Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner with a specialization in Mental Health to join our team. The Nurse Practitioner will be responsible for providing comprehensive mental health care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mental health and be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible care to patients.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments of patients
- Diagnose and treat mental health disorders, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and schizophrenia
- Develop and implement treatment plans for patients, including medication management and therapy
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding mental health disorders and treatment options
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes
Requirements
- Master's degree in Nursing
- Current Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Georgia
- Certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP)
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner in a mental health setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
