The Steward Center for Advanced Cardiac Surgery at Saint Elizabeth's Medical Center, Boston, MA, is seeking a Chief Advanced Practitioner. The Center was transformed four years ago and has continued to sustain rapid growth with new facilities and technologies offering a wide range of cardiac surgery, including minimally invasive, robotic, and trans-catheter valve replacement. No other cardiac surgery job in Boston provides a greater opportunity to be involved in all aspects of patient care.
Responsibilities:
Clinical:
- Floor Shifts- Responsibilities include independently rounding with the team, managing all floor patients
- ICU Shifts- Managing all ICU patients
- Proficiency in ICU bedside procedures such as central lines, arterial lines. Proficiency in basic ICU vasoactive medications and ventilator management
- OR Shifts- Endoscopically harvest vein and first assist
Administrative:
- Create/maintain call shifts for APP team
- Payroll management
- Interview/Hiring of employees
- Onboarding and Training of new and existing staff
- Liaison to Administration and Clinical Leads
Qualifications:
- Graduate of NCCPA approved Physician Assistant Program or MSN degree
- Massachusetts Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner License
- NCCPA Board Certified or Board Eligible
- BLS Certified
- ACLS Certified
