We are currently looking for a Speech Therapist to join our team. The position would be responsible for providing speech and language therapy evaluation and treatment to patients in their homes or alternate community settings within Hudson County, NJ.
Responsibilities
- Supports the organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationships with co-workers.
- Assesses and evaluates clients for speech and language therapy needs and develops and implements an appropriate plan of action in collaboration with the physician.
- Documents all changes in client’s condition and updates care plans and outcomes accordingly.
- Identifies counseling needs and plans appropriate teaching strategies.
- Monitors quality and appropriateness of services provided.
- Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies.
- Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance.
- Omission of specific duties does not exclude them from this position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this position.
Qualifications
- Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- 2-3 years of prior clinical experience and community-based experience preferred.
- Strong computer skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid NJ driver’s license.
Working Conditions/Physical Demand: Working indoors/outdoors, driving, lifting, sitting, standing, walking, fine motor hand movement, use of phone and tablet for documentation.
