Biostatistician II
This position requires an active NACI clearance or the ability to obtain a NACI clearance to be considered.
As required by our governmental client, this position requires being a US Citizen.
Cherokee Nation Integrated Health (CNIH) is seeking a Biostatistician II who will analyze immunization data, developing reliable national estimates for vaccination coverage and supporting the CDC’s Immunization Information Systems Branch (IISSB) with statistical expertise.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Estimated Starting Salary Range for Biostatistician II: Pay commensurate with experience.
- Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Biostatistician II Responsibilities Include:
- Analyze and interpret IIS data to produce national vaccination coverage estimates.
- Collaborate with CDC teams to compare IIS and NIS coverage estimates.
- Develop methodologies for small area analysis and pockets of need.
- Provide statistical consultation on ad-hoc projects, including method design and data analysis.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Biostatistician II Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Master’s degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in biostatistics, preferably in public health or immunization programs.
- Proficiency in statistical software such as SAS, R, and STATA.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Capable of handling multiple tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
