Job Summary and Qualifications
In collaboration with the Corporate AVP of Medical Transportation, the Director of Development is responsible for effectively supporting all aspects of HCA’s Medical Transportation growth strategy. The Director of Development will inform, support, and drive the Medical Transport strategy across the Enterprise by collaborating with Corporate stakeholders and Field leaders to drive strategic alignment that results in enhanced outcomes for our patients.
In alignment with the Enterprise’s over-arching Patient Logistics and Medical Transport strategies, this role identifies or creates best practices in the approach to new and organic growth in this space. The Director of Development- Medical Transport acts as a strategic growth partner to Corporate, Regional, and field leadership demonstrating strong sense of ownership of all improvement efforts related to transfer/transport/placement of patients. Provides leadership in determining and accessing needed data and ensures ongoing reporting of identified metrics. Facilitates the resolution of issues and roadblocks to the progress of initiatives. Establishes and executes regular systems for communicating the progress and results to stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Drive all aspects of HCA’s Medical Transport initiative as the strategic leader developing, implementing, and tracking progress on key growth strategies.
- Serve as primary point of contact with Corporate AVP of Medical Transportation in leading day-to-day growth and program development functions.
- Analyze all aspects of growth, development, and revenue cycle functions for potential improvement opportunities.
- Identify and develop recommendations for capacity management and patient throughput.
- Work with internal and external stakeholders to identify issues or barriers to optimal patient care and growth.
- Lead development of business plan templates, pro forma templates, and growth projections in the Medical Transport space.
- Promote volume growth and competitive advantage through development of differentiating strategies.
- Support team development and maintain a culture of accountability for providing excellent service.
- Develop and recommend technological enhancements to support medical transportation growth.
Required Knowledge / Skills:
- Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of pre-hospital transport medicine and regulatory requirements.
- Knowledge of relevant metrics used to measure quality and efficiency of care and services.
- Proven ability to identify, articulate, and execute against a strategic initiative.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to solve problems in a timely manner.
- Demonstrated competency in business finance and growth.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite products.
Required Education / Experience:
- Graduate of an accredited undergraduate program; Bachelor’s degree required.
- Minimum five years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare strategy, sales, marketing, growth, or medical transportation.
