The Regional Director of Clinical Services (RN) provides hands-on clinical support, guidance, and leadership to the clinical team in your designated region. This will include creating strategic nursing initiatives, developing systems, and ensuring outstanding nursing care in compliance with rules and regulations. This role will support our communities in the eastern or western region of the state.
What you'd do as a Regional Director of Clinical Services (RN) at Care Initiatives:
- Participates and leads educational in-services, provides training for new Directors of Nursing, and assists Directors of Nursing in training new team members.
- Assists the Administrator in interviewing key positions in the nursing department.
- Supports location leadership when in a survey, including annual, complaints, and self-reports. Assists location leadership writing plans of correction, revising systems, and minimizes deficiencies cited.
- Reviews potential self-reports and guides location leadership as needed.
- Attends QA meetings routinely and ensures efficacy of team and the compliance of QA every day by reporting problems and providing constructive feedback.
- Collaborates with Regional Director of Operations regarding staffing patterns and equipment needs within the facility budget guidelines.
- Provides written reports to Administrator and Director of Nursing related to observations and assessments during facility visits.
What it takes to become a Regional Director of Clinical Services (RN) with Care Initiatives:
- Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Iowa.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in long term care preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in nursing leadership preferred.
- Daily travel to assigned facilities required, some overnight stays may be required.
