We are currently searching for a PRN Certified Sterile Process Technician to join our team at our Matthews Surgery Center location.
Must Have Sterile Processing Certification.
The Certified Sterile Process Technician collects, cleans, decontaminates, disinfects, and/or sterilizes surgical instruments, trays and packs, reusable medical devices, and patient care equipment according to established standards and procedures.
- Cleans, disinfects, decontaminates, and sterilizes medical instruments and equipment using appropriate methods, substances, and equipment.
- Properly disposes of biohazardous substances, chemicals, medical waste, and unusable equipment and supplies.
- Receives, stocks, packages, and distributes medical instruments.
- Performs and documents required quality assurance testing and inspection on stock.
