We are expanding our mixed-animal team. Currently we are a 3-doctor practice in Northeastern Colorado, looking to increase to six. We are family oriented and trying to maintain the work-life balance that is so important to all of us. We practice collaborative medicine and frequently consult on each other’s cases. Our support staff is the best around and well trained. We have a low turnover rate, so they are very knowledgeable and known by our clientele. We are starting the construction of a new building to fit our growth and expect to be in it within one year.
While we are a true mixed animal practice, the majority of our caseload is small animal. We are looking for either a true mixed animal doctor or a small animal doctor who is willing to see some large animal emergencies after hours. All on-call doctors have a back up to call in for help or to ask questions. While we don’t offer an official mentorship program there is always another doctor available for assistance. On-call is shared equally by all veterinarians including the owners.
Details of the practice are as follows:
- 70% small animal, 20% bovine, 5% equine, and 5% small ruminant, swine & camelids
- In house chemistry, CBC, T4, TSH and Cortisol
- Portable x-ray and ultrasound
- Digital x-ray processor
- Cold laser
- Power equine dental float
- Haul in cattle and equine facilities
- Ambulatory vehicle provided
Benefits include:
- Annual income range of $100,000-120,000 depending on experience and on-call
- Insurance stipend
- 128 hours paid time off
- AVMA, CVMA, licensing fees, liability, disability, vet association dues
- 401K with 5% match after 1 year
- $2000 per 2-year licensing period with additional time off for CE
- Buy-In opportunity after 1 year
