This position is full time, call required. This position is eligible for shift differentials.
We're seeking a Registered Nurse, Operating Room responsible for being a capable clinician who has acquired broad experience in caring for patients, and has developed a sound understanding about the care of a particular patient population and routinely uses acquired knowledge, theory, research and experience to respond to changes in clinical situations. This RN professional can apply the Synergy Model for Care in practice, and use this knowledge to personalize care for each patient/family while serving as a resource to colleagues and strong advocate for them. This individual will:
- Deliver safe, dependable and effective care to a patient population independently utilizing the nursing process.
- Document the nursing process accurately and in the appropriate format (e.g. computer, clinical pathway, chart). Plan and implement patient care independently.
- Recognize needs and advocate for patient based on knowledge of condition. Have awareness of one's own values and how they affect interactions and relationships.
- May seek assistance to resolve complex issues. Respect and maintain confidential information. Accept personal accountability for professional development and growth.
- Participate within the unit to identify and address discipline-specific issues and needs. Articulate application of Synergy model for care in clinical practice.
- Collect, report, analyze and provide data on an ongoing basis and as required by physician and/or interdisciplinary teams in accordance with organization standards. Revise and evaluate effectiveness of patient care documentation.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with 12 months of recent nursing experience within the past five years or recent completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- Must have a valid, active unencumbered Nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- BLS certification required and ACLS may be required in designated departments.

Our physicians work collaboratively to provide comprehensive care and quality outcomes for our patients and their families.
Our Perioperative Surgical Department consists of 28 OR suites, 3 to 4 designated for cardiovascular cases. Our service lines include General, GYN, Urology, Bariatrics, Robotics, Orthopedics, Neurosurgery, Podiatry, ENT, Skull Base, OMFS, Plastics, and CVOR. We are staffed twenty-four seven, 365 days a year. We have some late/call/holiday requirements as well as a rotation to cover overnight shifts and weekend shifts for those dedicated teams. The orientation period would be 8-12 weeks based on experience.
