We are a privately owned mixed animal clinic that has been serving our county since the 1970's. Our clinic sits below the beautiful Peaks of Otter and the Blue Ridge Parkway. We love surgery and do a lot of canine reproduction work. We service family/hobby farms and backyard pleasure horses. This position can be small animal only or mixed animal (requiring working one weekend a month). We have an excellent ratio of LVTs to Doctors and a very stable staff with low turnover.
Mentorship is not an issue. New graduates are never asked to perform tasks out of their comfort range, and we have a backup doctor to support them with large animal emergency calls for at least six months.
If you are an experienced large animal or mixed animal vet that is burned out and ready for a change, then we may be your future hospital. Doctors work together and collaborate, sharing our collective knowledge to ensure better patient care.
We offer a straight salary or salary plus production, paid vacation and CE, paid health care, 401K, and we cover DEA costs and licenses.
Responsibilities:
- Perform small animal surgery and internal medicine.
- Large animal medicine is optional.
