I am the Associate Regional Medical Director for our intensivist program at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus, located in Dover, Delaware. I’ve been part of Sound Critical Care since 2013, when I joined as a staff intensivist. I’m proud of the critical care team we have built in Dover and welcome interest from experienced critical care advanced practice providers (APPs) looking to join an established critical care team.
I’d like to share more about who we are and what we do — specifically about our people, practice, and purpose — as you consider your options:
People
- Our team at Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus is a growing team of 3 intensivists and 2 critical care APPs.
- Our team is comprised of clinicians from diverse geographic, educational, and training backgrounds with a shared dedication to the practice of critical care medicine.
- In Dover, we also have the opportunity to work with residents from a number of different disciplines as they train in the ICUs.
- Within the hospital, we work closely with our colleagues in other departments to ensure smooth transitions of care. We encourage our team members to be active participants in committees and to become part of the larger hospital team.
Practice
- Bayhealth Hospital, Kent Campus is a 317-bed community hospital with a growing trainee population looking to impact and expand care in this welcoming community.
- The hospital offers a full complement of sub-specialty support including cardiovascular and thoracic specialists who are proficient in the latest treatments and surgeries. Onsite imaging and interventional services are available as well as a neuro intensive care unit with neurosurgeons onsite.
- We currently staff with 1 intensivist and 1 critical care APP during the day, with support from our tele-intensivists at night.
- Intensivist-led multidisciplinary rounds are a fundamental part of our practice and occur every day with active team participation.
