Join us as our new Process and Technology Lab Associate
In this role you'll make an impact by:
- Leading in the production of inoculum to supply our Fermentation and Lactic Acid Bacteria (LAB) processes.
- Performing routine microbiological testing/analytical procedures in an accurate and timely fashion.
- Participating in, and leading simpler instances of, structured problem solving and process improvement efforts, using LEAN tools and concepts (PDCA, 3C, A3, etc).
- Supporting the formulation of existing and new products and optimization research projects.
- Media and solution preparation, supply inventory, and rotation in glassware washing.
- Recording accurate observations and data; maintaining an up-to-date research notebook.
- Supporting all other laboratory functions as designated.
- Interfacing effectively with all production, laboratory, and office personnel.
- Supporting quality processes by active participation.
- Adhering to GMP policy for Feed Safety.
- Supporting the Fermentation Department by leading continuous improvement efforts as designated by manager.
Potentially relevant experience:
- B.A./B.S. in Biology, Microbiology, or applicable science.
- 2 years' experience in microbial/biological fields with knowledge of specialized laboratory and scientific techniques preferred.
- Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work successfully in a team.
- Willingness to learn new things.
- Ability to work independently and have excellent time-management skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours from time-to-time to maintain schedule adherence.
- No travel is required for this position.
- Valid driver's license is required.

Expected Pay Range: $27-$29/ hour
