DESCRIPTION
Working under direct supervision, incumbent performs routine computerized tomography (CT) procedures for diagnostic purposes in accordance with established guidelines and CT protocols. Demonstrates and applies knowledge of principles of radiation safety. Prepares and positions patient for procedure by using established CT protocols to achieve the highest quality image. Follows protocols specified by the Radiologist. Administers contrast media orally or assists physician in intravenous administration. Enters complex data into the computer system. Reviews, verifies and evaluates images and radiographs to ensure technical quality and image quality. Performs other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Recent graduate of a school of radiologic technology.
- California Radiology Technologist of Radiography (CRT-R).
- Registered Technologist for Computed Tomography issued by ARRT (R.T(CT)(ARRT)).
- Venipuncture certification.
- BART or BLS at time of hire with commitment to get BART within six (6) months of hire date.
- Recent experience in a similar role and setting or new graduate of an approved radiologic technology program.
- Possess the skills, knowledge, and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- California Radiology Technologist of Fluoroscopy (CRT-F).
- An understanding of various radiological systems to include PACS and RIS.
- Six (6) months of CT Tech experience.
- Hospital experience.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work flexible hours, which may include days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays, and some overtime, if necessary, for unexpected staffing issues.
- Must be able to work various locations based on business needs. Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
PAY TRANSPARENCY ACT
Annual Full Pay Range: $132,859 - $132,859 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)
Hourly Equivalent: $63.63 - $63.63
