Responsibilities:
- Provides comprehensive primary care through diagnosis, clinical judgment, and management to restore, maintain, and improve health status.
- Works in collaboration with other health care providers to provide comprehensive patient care.
- Participates as an active member of a multi-disciplinary primary care team to support patient education and health outcomes.
- Maintains quality of care in the health center through ongoing education, daily improvement, collaboration with specialty services, and connecting patients to appropriate resources.
- Participates in professional and related community organizational meetings and activities.
- Participates in staff meetings, conferences, in-service training, and continuing education.
- Follows HIPAA, OSHA, corporate compliance policies, and regulations.
- Participates in required on-call coverage or after-hours health care services.
- Participates in prescription drug control policies and prescribes according to state rules and regulations.
- Maintains strict confidence on information gained in the clinical practice of the position.
Qualifications:
- Unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license in Idaho or ability to obtain an Idaho medical license.
- Ability to maintain a valid controlled substance registration with Idaho Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
- Sensitivity to the needs of the farm-worker families and other rural individuals.
- Sensitivity to the local customs related to health practices and medical care.
