Acute Inpatient Manager of Pharmacy - Full-Time
MLee Healthcare is in search of an adept and seasoned Manager of Inpatient Pharmacy to join our vibrant team. The selected candidate will assume a pivotal role in supervising the day-to-day operations of our pharmacy division within the inpatient environment, guaranteeing the provision of secure, efficient, and top-notch pharmaceutical services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and guide the inpatient pharmacy team, which comprises pharmacists, technicians, and support personnel.
- Formulate and execute policies, procedures, and protocols to optimize pharmacy operations and enrich patient care.
- Ensure adherence to regulatory mandates, accreditation benchmarks, and pharmacy best practices.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration with fellow healthcare practitioners to bolster teamwork and care consistency.
- Supervise medication management procedures encompassing ordering, dispensing, administering, and monitoring.
- Contribute to formulary management, medication safety initiatives, and endeavors for quality enhancement.
- Deliver education and instruction on medication-related matters to pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, and patients.
- Track pharmacy performance indicators and outcomes, instituting continuous enhancement approaches.
- Cultivate an atmosphere of excellence, professionalism, and responsibility within the pharmacy department.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from an accredited school of pharmacy.
- Licensed pharmacist in the state of Massachusetts, or eligible for licensure.
- PGY1 Residency is acceptable, while PGY2 Residency is preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in hospital pharmacy practice, with progressive leadership responsibilities.
- Strong clinical knowledge and expertise in inpatient pharmacy practice, including medication therapy management and clinical pharmacy services.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and make effective decisions in a fast-paced environment.
