Serves onsite to collaboratively develop and implement radiation to treat patients in accordance with the prescription and instructions of the Radiation Oncologist. Specific duties include:
- Checking patient information
- Preparing room and equipment
- Communicating with patient
- Transferring patient
- Performing radiation treatment
- Maintaining schedule
- Maintaining supplies
- Keeping records
- Assisting with teaching
Required Skills and Knowledge:
- Located or willing to relocate to Waldorf, MD or surrounding area
- Clinical understanding of the processes in a medical and radiation oncology department
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Exemplary communication skills.
- Clinical experience in Radiation and Medical Oncology
- Registered by the ARRT in Radiation Therapist
- Current State License (if applicable)
- Obtains and completes LMS training plan specific to assigned responsibility
- Meets all requirements necessary to gain AOS client site access, unless prohibited by law. These requirements vary by client and may include, but are not limited to: Proof of valid identification (photo, driver's license, SSN); Criminal background checks; Drug screens; Immunizations (Hep B, MMR, Varicella, Influenza, Tetanus); Annual TB testing; Applicable healthcare training
- Proficient in utilizing standard business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Associate's and/or Bachelor's Degree with equivalent experience
- One year (or more) of experience preferred but will consider new graduates
