Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, FQHC (Outpatient)
Federally Qualified Community Health Center is seeking an experienced psychiatric nurse practitioner to join their mission to build healthy communities by providing exceptional care to all.
Under the direct supervision of the CMO, the psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, in collaboration with the supervising psychiatrist, will provide continuing and comprehensive health care for individuals and families across all ages and genders. The clinician will exercise individual initiative and independent actions to ensure high-quality psychiatric and mental health care.
Responsibilities include:
- Working as an integral member of the psychiatric care team in collaboration with the primary care team, focusing on customer service, population management, appropriate delegation, and participation in quality initiatives.
- Collaborating with other providers involved in client care, including medical providers, social agencies, hospitals, and schools.
- Providing psychiatric consultation, psychopharmacological evaluation, and management.
- Providing client and family education.
- Intervening with care delivery system flaws by identifying issues and participating in policy-making, implementation, or modification.
Minimum Requirements:
Ability to treat patients from adolescence through adulthood; certification as a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner; experience in community or ambulatory care.
