Minimum Education and Experience:
- The ideal candidate will have a doctoral degree and doctorate-level training in health services research, health policy, public health, epidemiology, or related disciplines.
- Strong quantitative training and skills.
- A strong track record of peer-reviewed journal articles.
- Post-doctoral training and/or other evidence of preparation to become R-01 funded principal investigators, or peer-reviewed funding appropriate to career stage.
- Strong theoretical grounding and empirical skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to support developing a rigorous program of research.
- Excellent organization, research, planning, project management, and problem-solving skills.
- A demonstrated ability to provide leadership in a line of research and to collaborate across multi-disciplinary teams.
- Enthusiasm for contributing to and expanding an innovative program in health services research and policy.
The successful candidate will be jointly appointed in the Institute for Health with tenure-track or tenured appointment in an appropriate Rutgers school or department with teaching, clinical, and/or mentoring responsibilities. Opportunity exists for appointment as a Chancellor's Scholar.
