General Practice, Equine Neonatology and Internal Medicine Veterinarian - Noble Equine
Are you passionate about foal care and equine medicine? Noble Equine, a premier equine veterinary and reproduction center based on 146 acres in Purcell, Oklahoma, is seeking a veterinarian for general practice including neonatology and internal medicine to join our dedicated team. Led by Dr. Joe Noble, we specialize in reproductive biotechnologies, subfertile mare management, embryo transfer, and comprehensive neonatal care from birth to weaning, with a strong recipient mare program supporting our services.
Job Requirements:
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with a specialization or strong focus on equine care.
- Licensed to practice veterinary medicine in the state of Oklahoma, or eligible for state licensure.
- Experience with equine species, including reproduction, neonatology, and general equine healthcare.
- Skills in diagnosis, treatment, and preventative care for horses, with a focus on maintaining their optimal health.
- Ability to handle emergency equine care, including foaling, lameness issues, and injury recovery.
- Comfortable working in a rural, farm-based setting and capable of on-site, hands-on care in large breeding or training facilities.
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with farm managers, horse owners, and veterinary teams.
- Willingness to work long or irregular hours during busy breeding and foaling seasons.
- A genuine passion for rural life, horses, and providing top-quality care to equine patients.
Responsibilities:
- Neonatal care from birth to weaning (high-risk foals, health plans).
- Diagnosis and treatment of foal and mare health issues (lameness, wounds, colic, etc.).
- Collaborate with the reproductive team to ensure the welfare of horses.
