ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
· Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures
· Processes data and enhancing digital images using advanced computer technology.
· Providing images, data analysis and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures.
· Evaluates images to determine the technical quality and calibration of instrumentation.
· Provides diagnostic aid to physicians by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
· Administers and records isotope dosage in accordance to established departmental protocol.
· Observes patient during procedure and reports any abnormal activity.
· Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures.
· Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
· Works under general supervision.
· Demonstrates competency in the performance of job related skills appropriate to his/her customer populations and departmental services while providing excellent customer service.
· Utilizes and operates equipment and mechanical devices which provide for a functional, effective, and safe environment.
· Adheres to policies, procedures, guidelines relative to departmental operations.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High School Diploma
- Requires completion of a formal Radiologic Technology training program in AMA approved school.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- BLS Certification or “Hands–On” CPR certification
- Registration with the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (A.R.R.T), or the American Society of Clinical Pathology.
- Must be licensed with the State, when applicable by law.
Experience:
- 2 years of experience in radiology
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: This position may require duties including lifting and carrying up to 40 pounds, sitting for prolonged periods of time, with frequent standing and walking. May be exposed to biohazards and chemicals as outlined in the MSDS Manual; and other hazards/unpleasant working conditions.
DRESS ATTIRE: Business Casual or scrubs dependent on department
