Job responsibilities
- Build rapport with clients by gathering information and empathizing with their concerns
- Perform physical examinations and diagnostic/medical/surgical/dental procedures that deliver the highest quality care while minimizing patient stress and discomfort
- Communicate with clients on topics such as pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventive health care, and nutritional needs
- Maintain client/patient medical/surgical records and ensure all necessary logs are kept up-to-date through established protocols
- Stay current on new medical information and changes in veterinary medicine
- Assist in the development of the paraprofessional team to ensure delivery of the highest quality care and exceptional client service
- Present a positive image of the hospital in the professional community and to the general public
Who we are
Shinnecock Animal Hospital has been serving the larger Hampton Bays area since 1996. We have multiple staff members that have been working with us for 5-10+ years. Our Medical Director, Dr. Justin Molnar, has been with the hospital for over 20 years. In addition to his work at Shinnecock, he is also the Medical Director for the Evelyn Alexander Wildlife Rescue, which allows our team to see exciting wildlife cases! We are committed to offering excellent veterinary care to our community.
