Clinical Psychologist (Health) - GS-0180-13 - Goodfellow AFB, TX
Goodfellow Air Force Base is a nonflying United States Air Force base located in San Angelo, TX. Responsibilities
- Administration: Develops, implements, evaluates, and manages assigned health psychology Service programs and activities for appropriate assessment, evaluation, and treatment of patients. Provides clinical guidelines for patient selection, plans resource allocation, and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Consultation and Direct Services: Provides professional consultation to specialty medical departments, performs clinical duties within health psychology, and develops specialized programs for medical patients. Conducts clinical research and maintains knowledge of professional literature.
- Training: Provides clinical and administrative oversight to staff and trainees, delivers presentations, and assists with departmental requirements such as peer review and continuing education activities.
PERFORMS OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.
Conditions of Employment
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination.
- A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
- Immunization screening is required; Hepatitis B immunization is mandatory for positions with direct patient contact.
- This position may require pre-employment screening and random drug testing.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Applicants must fulfill credentialing requirements and maintain appropriate clinical privileges.
Qualifications
US Citizenship required
Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) in clinical psychology. (Attach a copy of your transcripts.)
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience in health psychology, conducting interventions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals. Education cannot substitute for experience.
License: A current, active, valid, unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently is required.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: Foreign education credentials must be evaluated by a recognized organization.
