Berkshire Medical Center is hiring two staff nurses for our Family Birthplace!

Minimum 1 year of medical/surgical experience required with expectation of floating to med/surg unit.
Job Requirements:
- POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)
- Experience: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing. Has a thorough knowledge of nursing principles and procedures.
- Education and Training: Associates Degree in Nursing. BSN preferred.
- License, Certification & Registration: RN License - Currently licensed as an RN in Massachusetts, CPR.
- Other Requirements: Demonstrates continuing education in accordance with State regulations. Assures compliance with unit-specific scope of practice. Must be able to speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must possess sight/hearing senses or use prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so the requirements of the position can be fully met.
- Other Addendum(s) Requirements:
- Minimum one year medical/surgical or pediatric experience preferred.
- At least one year maternity or continuing care nursery experience preferred.
- ACLS, NRP and AWHONN fetal monitoring education is required.
- NCC certification preferred.
- Demonstrated exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated ability to organize workload and delegate non-nursing tasks.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively educate/instruct individuals and small groups.
- Demonstrated positive and professional demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrated ability to provide family focused patient care.
- Must be willing to cross train to Pediatrics within one year of hire.
