Position Overview
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) shall be accountable and responsible for performing tasks and responsibilities within the framework of:
- Case finding
- Health teaching
- Health counseling
- Provision of supportive and restorative care
- Administering medication(s)
- Nursing treatment under the direction of a registered nurse, licensed physician, or other health care provider
The Licensed Practical Nurse shall be responsible for:
- Monitoring that Plan of Care is being followed by clinical staff under their supervision
- Supervising certified nurse aides or unlicensed assistive personnel
- Providing supervision, coordination, and evaluation of assigned unit health care team and services
