South River Healthcare Center is looking for caring and compassionate individuals that want to jump start their career into becoming Certified Nursing Assistants.
Candidates must have completed their TNA certification before June 6 and/or have begun the required CNA training/coursework.
You will start off as Nurse Aide in Training, and we will provide the rest of the training you need to become a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). Upon successfully completing the course, you will be hired as a full time CNA.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements
- High school graduate or G. E. D. equivalent
- TNA certification completed before June 6 and/or CNA training/coursework.
- Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable
- Prior work/life experiences involving independent decision making
- Must have a kind, patient and empathetic personality as well as a commitment to providing patients with the best possible care.
- CPR certification
As a Nurse Aide, you will:
- Participate in and receive resident reports at start/end of shift.
- Monitor resident requests and needs in a dignified and respectful manner.
- Maintain a clean and pleasant environment for residents.
- Assist in preparing residents for various activities within and outside the center.
- Perform basic nursing care procedures for residents as required.
- Create a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents and assure that their needs are met.
- Ensure that resident’s food service needs are met in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Maintain and work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement program, and safety, environmental, and infection control standards.
- Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs to enhance quality of care.
- Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
