Stewartville Animal Clinic (SAC), located just South of Rochester, MN [home of the Mayo Clinic], is looking to add a full-time and/or part-time DVM to our small-town community veterinary clinic. We are open to filling a full-time or part-time role as we are prioritizing finding the best fit for our clinic and team.
We believe our doctors should have a lot of autonomy to practice medicine your way as long as there is alignment with our company's core values. You will have significant support from the Clinic Manager, with oversight from the owner, to practice high-quality, compassionate veterinary medicine. This position does not have any late evenings, weekends, or on-call (occasional Saturdays at Meadow View would be great, but not required).
We have a robust team that includes many experienced and talented CVTs, Assistants, and receptionists to support the addition of more doctors to our team. We believe that adequate staff is having approximately 2-3 CVTs per DVM with additional support from Assistants and Receptionists. Our goal is to maximize the efficiency of our DVMs by utilizing support staff effectively.

- Ophthalmology, Cardiology, etc.
- Alternative therapies such as acupuncture, chiropractic, and other complementary Eastern/Holistic medicine techniques
About Us
Stewartville Animal Clinic is a companion animal practice located 10 minutes South of Rochester, MN. The clinic has been an integral part of the community since 1970; the former owner retired in 2016, and it has been owned by Dr. Garren Kelly since then. We also have two sister clinics, Meadow View Veterinary Clinic and Byron Pet Clinic, which are less than 20 minutes Northwest and approximately 30 minutes Northwest of SAC, respectively. Stewartville is a small-town community but close to the thriving city of Rochester, providing the best of both worlds.
SAC is designed to facilitate veterinarians in providing patients with quality veterinary care with tools and technology to make our processes safe and efficient. We have:
- Electronic medical records (ezyVet)
- Digital radiography
- In-house Idexx equipment & Idexx reference laboratory
- Portable ultrasound unit
Our ideal candidate will be interested in providing quality medical and surgical care to patients while delivering exceptional service to clients. We are looking for a DVM that can communicate effectively, work independently, and is self-motivated.
