The ideal candidate will have experience with biochemical and biophysical methodologies, such as:
- Protein purification
- Protein tagging and expression in multiple cell lines, including baculovirus and mammalian expression system experience
- Cryo-EM
- Mass spectrometry sample preparation pipelines
- Protein-protein interaction studies
- Co-immunoprecipitation experiments
The laboratory ofDr. Thirumala-Devi Kannegantioffers a remarkable training environment for postdoctoral fellows focused on the innate immune system, including an opportunity to collaborate with researchers in the departments of Immunology, Structural Biology, Infectious Diseases, and cancer biology. St. Jude Children's Research Hospital has state-of-the-art facilities including core laboratories for proteomics, metabolomics, RNAseq, transgenic/knock-out technology, and animal facilities.
Candidates should have a recent PhD, DVM, MD/PhD in biomedical sciences, ideally Immunology or a related discipline, and must be hard working and highly motivated.
