Position Overview:
MLR Healthcare is looking for a skilled and passionate Ultrasound Technologist to join our growing team in Illinois. The ideal candidate will be proficient in performing a variety of ultrasound procedures and dedicated to delivering exceptional patient experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecologic, and vascular studies.
- Prepare and position patients for procedures while ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Utilize ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation by radiologists.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of procedures and patient information.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss findings and support patient care plans.
- Adhere to safety and infection control protocols.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related field.
- Current Illinois state licensure as an Ultrasound Technologist.
- Certification by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) in relevant specialties.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
