Responsibilities:
- Psychological Assessment: Conduct various psychological assessments, including cognitive, emotional, personality, and neuropsychological evaluations, using standardized assessment tools and clinical interviews.
- Test Selection: Collaborate with referring clinicians to select appropriate assessments based on the client’s presenting concerns and goals.
- Test Administration: Administer psychological assessments in a standardized and reliable manner, ensuring client comfort and adherence to testing protocols.
- Scoring and Interpretation: Accurately score and interpret test results to provide comprehensive and meaningful assessment reports.
- Report Writing: Prepare detailed assessment reports that clearly communicate findings, diagnoses, and recommendations for clients, referring clinicians, and relevant stakeholders.
- Consultation: Provide consultation and collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, educators, and other professionals to ensure a holistic understanding of clients’ needs and treatment planning.
- Ethical and Legal Compliance: Adhere to all ethical guidelines and legal regulations governing psychological testing and assessment.
- Professional Development: Stay current with the latest research, best practices, and advances in psychological testing through ongoing professional development and training.
Qualifications:
- Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology or a related field.
- State licensure as a Psychologist with a specialization in psychological assessment.
- Experience in administering and interpreting a variety of psychological assessments across the lifespan.
- Strong knowledge of psychometric principles, assessment tools, and diagnostic classification systems (e.g., DSM-5).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in assessment administration, scoring, and report writing.
- Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and ethical standards.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach to client care.
- Experience with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity is a plus.
