Perform diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures in a clinical setting. Operates conventional, fluoroscopic or radiology equipment to obtain images of designated body parts according to physician specifications and/or orders. Assists the physician with the performance of various diagnostic and interventional procedures, by monitoring, passing instruments and catheters, observing patient response to procedure, maintaining sterile field, interpreting and evaluating diagnostic data to be utilized by the physician.
QualificationsEducation: Associates degree in radiologic technology, allied health, applied science or completion of certificate/training program is required.
Experience: Experience in interventional radiology or special procedures is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations: Licensed Radiographer in the state of practice is required. Certification as a Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography (RT(R)) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) is required. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.
