Mercy Health Physicians Youngstown has an opportunity for a BC/BE General Surgeon with expertise in breast care/Fellowship trained Breast Surgeon to join the breast care team. This is an opportunity to take over a patient panel for a retiring regionally and nationally known and respected breast surgeon and to support the growth of an established breast surgery practice. The position will also have the opportunity to provide leadership as Breast Program Medical Director at St Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital, within the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center. Continued growth and leadership allow for endless opportunities for the practice within the region. This is a rare opportunity to make a practice your own and provide leadership over the Joanie Abdu Comprehensive Breast Care Center. Breast Surgery leadership/administration experience, leading the development of a breast program, and National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers knowledge and expertise, preferred. - Providing state of the art breast care close to home as a nationally accredited breast care center
- Seeing new consults and follow ups in office, providing administrative leadership over the Joanie Abdu Center, performing all appropriate breast surgery cases in the OR.
- Must have outstanding interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to develop and strengthen the cancer treatment team.
- There is a potential for teaching surgical residents, etc.
- Breast Surgery program includes the following support staff: breast navigators, nurse practitioner, medical assistant, dedicated nursing, dietician, social workers and financial navigator.
