The Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation (CAIT) invites applications for one Postdoctoral Associate position.
The successful candidate will report to Dr. Hao Wang at CAIT and work independently on various research projects related to sustainable and smart pavements. The candidate is expected to perform both fundamental and applied research and publish research findings in journals and conferences. The candidate will also assist in the development and writing of research proposals for external funding.

Qualifications
Minimum Education and Experience: This position requires a PhD in civil engineering, transportation engineering, or related engineering fields.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- The candidate should have skills and experiences in at least one of the following areas: 1) advanced characterization and modeling of pavement materials and mechanistic-empirical pavement analysis, 2) life-cycle assessment of pavements of transportation infrastructure.
The successful candidate is expected to be self-motivated, think broadly and conceptually, formulate creative solutions to complex problems, prioritize workload, and work independently with general supervision. The position requires good communication and presentation skills, and strong proficiency in technical writing and editing. The individual will be expected to hold high standards in how information is developed and presented. In addition, this position will require the ability to manage, document, and organize multiple simultaneous projects.
