Wound Care Nurse-LPN
Schedule: Monday - Friday 8 hours, On call some weekends and weekends as needed
Job Summary:
The Wound Care Nurse works in harmony with the nursing staff assessing, treating, and creating care plans for patients with complex wounds, ostomies, and/or continence conditions. - Provide consultation and direct assistance in the management of patients with altered skin integrity (pressure necrosis, wounds, fistulas, etc).
- Offer in-service programs as needed to assist nursing, rehabilitation and medical staff to maintain knowledge and competence in wound care.
- Collect, analyze and document information and statistics related to wounds in the facility, as well as perform clinical evaluations for potential wound admissions.
You could be a great fit if you have these qualifications:
- Must be a licensed RN or LPN in good standing with the state (as required).
- 1-2 years wound care experience required.
- Wound Care Certification (WOCN) preferred.
- 1+ years of long term care experience preferred.
