Your Role on the TeamPosition Summary:
The Cardio Vascular RN is responsible for ensuring patient safety during the Cardiac Cath Lab/Interventional Radiology/Neuro Interventional Radiology procedures. The RN is responsible for maintaining communication with the physician and charge/or manager to keep the flow throughout the day. The RN is also responsible for staying abreast of changes to department and industry standards and filtering this information to the procedural staff members. On-call requirement with a 30-minute response time.
Department Procedures include but are not limited to:
- Coronary angiogram/angioplasty
- Peripheral angiogram/angioplasty
- Neuro interventional angiogram/angioplasty
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) and Thoracic vessel repair
- Neuro Coronary Peripheral Pulmonary Thrombectomy
- Central/Port placement and removal
- Electrophysiology procedures including Ablation
- Cardiac Rhythm Management (CRM) procedures
- Transesophageal Echocardiogram (TEE)
- Cardioversion
- Stress Tests

Required Qualifications:
- Must possess the skill, knowledge, and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
- Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
- License/Certifications: Current California RN License; Current National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) Certification.
- Education and Experience: The qualified candidate must be a graduate of an accredited RN program, possess a current California RN license, and have at least 1 year of acute care experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Interventional Radiology, or Intensive Care Unit.
- Knowledge and Abilities: Has full command (verbal and written) of the English language. Must be able to fulfill the essential functions of the position. Current knowledge and skills appropriate to age/type of patient population served; 12 Lead EKG interpretations required; Annual Update, Education assignments; Completion of all teaching assignments provided for professional enhancement.
