Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacy Manager to oversee the operations of our pharmacy department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical care to our patients while managing pharmacy staff and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. This role requires strong leadership skills, a commitment to patient service, and expertise in various areas of pharmacy practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily pharmacy operations, including staffing, workflow, and inventory management.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations regarding pharmacy practice.
- Oversee medication dispensing processes and ensure accuracy in prescriptions.
- Conduct patient assessments to provide appropriate medication therapy management.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop treatment plans for patients in critical care, pediatrics, pain management, and other specialties.
- Provide guidance and support for IV infusion therapies as needed.
- Maintain high standards of patient service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Train and mentor pharmacy staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage procurement processes to ensure adequate stock of medications and supplies.
Skills
- Strong knowledge of inventory management practices within a pharmacy setting.
- Proficiency in IV infusion techniques and protocols.
- Experience in patient assessment methodologies to evaluate medication needs effectively.
- Familiarity with pediatric pharmaceutical care principles.
- Completion of a pharmacy residency is preferred but not mandatory.
- Expertise in pain management strategies for diverse patient populations.
- Experience working in critical care environments such as ICU or ER is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service and collaboration with healthcare teams.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60.00 - $78.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
