Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) (Port Alsworth):
The right candidate will possess strong clinical skills to provide the highest quality of direct care to customer-owners in the Community. They must be a self-motivated provider willing to work independently, able to manage multiple clinical tasks simultaneously, provide home visits, and effectively handle stressful medical situations while keeping the customer-owner informed and culturally sensitive.
Daily Duties and Expectations:
- Works closely with the Manager to seek learning opportunities to continue developing the clinical skills needed.
- Urgent care experience preferred, but not required.
- Work with collaborative physician to complete chart reviews on a regular basis.
- Ensure quality of care is delivered to customer-owners.
- Abide by policies, procedures, and bylaws with the clinic.
- Provide quality care feedback to ensure Joint Commission and other regulatory standards are met.
- Provide clear and concise instruction to customer-owners on treatment plans.
- Maintain quality, safety, and infection control standards.
- Listen and address health care issues in an appropriate manner.
- Work closely with the Manager to share concerns and feedback in a supportive manner.
- Adjust communication style depending on the receiver.
Qualifications for Physician Assistant Certified (PA-C) (Port Alsworth):
- Current Certification by the National Commission of Physician's Assistants.
- Current Alaska license.
- Meets all requirements to obtain associate medical staff membership and required privileges of service.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required. ACLS, NRP, ATLS, ALSO, and PALS as required for specialty.
