HEALTHCARE AGENCY HOUSEKEEPER

The Health and Human Services Agency is looking for qualified applicants for Healthcare Agency Housekeeper to independently perform housekeeping services within assigned area(s) of a hospital and/or other healthcare facility where patients may be present.
Immediate vacancies are at the following locations:
- Edgemoor Distinct Part-Skilled Nursing Facility, 655 Park Center Drive, Santee, CA.
- San Diego County Psychiatric Hospital, 3853 Rosecrans St., San Diego, CA 92110.

Interviews and Hiring Process
Interviews will take place on Tuesdays. Job offers for selected candidates will be made shortly after the interviews. Candidates should be prepared to immediately complete background paperwork upon receipt of a job offer. Note: Current county employees may be excluded from additional background screening.
- Job Offer and Background Process begins: Shortly after the interviews.
- Pre-employment Medical Screening: Approximately 3 days following successful background investigation results.
- Anticipated Start Date: Start date will be based upon successful completion of medical screening or other mutually agreed upon date.

Qualifying Experience:
Three (3) months of verifiable paid housekeeping and/or custodial experience in a hospital, health care facility, or commercial or business setting.

Condition of Employment:
As part of the County of San Diego’s pre-employment process, prospective candidates will undergo a background check (including fingerprinting) and a pre-employment medical screening prior to beginning County employment. Additional types of background investigations may be conducted based on the job-related activities of the position. Current County employees may be excluded from this process.
Evaluation:
The names of qualified candidates will be placed on a six (6) month employment list based on scores received during the evaluation of information contained in their employment application and supplemental questionnaire. Please ensure all information is complete and accurate as the responses you provide on the supplemental application form will be reviewed using an automated evaluation system. If you are successful in the initial screening process your application will be reviewed individually to confirm that the information you provided is accurate and qualifying.
Candidates will be given an oral comprehension test at time of interview and a background investigation prior to appointment.
