Advanced nursing work supervising the activities of Public Health Nurses and other clinic support staff providing services in connection with general health, child health, and chronic and communicable disease control.
- Graduation from an accredited school of professional nursing and license to practice nursing in the State of Louisiana.*
- Four (4) years of professional experience in the field of Public Health Nursing, or four (4) years of professional nursing experience that included public health nursing components as part of job performance, such as evaluating health needs, teaching and counseling, developing the capabilities of individuals and families to cope with their health problems, and use of community resources in accomplishing the goal. One (1) year of this experience must have included supervisory duties as a primary responsibility.
