Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel RN – Radiation Oncology
Length: 13 weeks
Requirements:
- IL License
- Minimum 2 years’ experience
- Post surgical care experience
- EMR experience
- BLS
- OCN preferred
Shift: 5x8s Days (0600-1430) – *Schedule will vary based on department and unit needs. Traveler will work 8 or 10hr shifts each week*
Avg. Daily Census: 30
Years of experience REQ: Minimum 2 years’ experience required.
First-timers accepted: Yes
Certs REQ: BLS required. OCN preferred.
Is on-call REQ? No.
Will clinician float within scope to meet facility needs? No.
Open to accommodating block schedule? Discuss schedule requests with manager.
Active IL license required or must have active application in process with ETA to apply.
RTO Restrictions: Ideally no more than 5 days.
Guaranteed Hours: Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen week assignment without paying for the cancelled hours. If Client cancels more hours than permitted by this section, Client will be billed for any shifts or portions thereof cancelled in excess of this section.
Special Requirements: Required Care of Patient With: Bladder/Kidney Cancer, Brain cancer, Breast Cancer, Colorectal Cancer, Ear/Nose/Throat Cancers, Kidney Cancer, Liver Cancer, Lung cancer, Melanoma, Multiple Myeloma, Lymphoma/Non-Hodgkins lymphoma, Ovarian Cancer/Uterine Cancer, Pancreatic Cancer, Prostate Cancer. Ability to Recognize/communicate abnormal lab values required. Experience/skills with Starting IVs required. Required Medication Skills/Experience: Antiemetic, Antibiotic, Corticosteroids. Required Professional Knowledge and Skills: Colostomy care and management, Foley catheter insertion/management, Isolation Precautions, Neutropenic precautions, Tracheostomy care/management, Wound care. Required Symptom management Skills/Experience: Alteration in skin and mucous membranes, Altered mental status, Constipation/diarrhea, Dysphagia, Edema, Nausea/vomiting, Neuropathy. Post surgical care experience required. EMR experience required.
