Overview
The Case Manager Registered Nurse is primarily responsible for the preparation, recording, and tracking of initial and retrospective payments for hospital services.
Responsibilities
- Answers, directs, and records departmental phone calls from a variety of sources (Insurance companies, Skilled Nursing Facilities, Home Health Agencies, Durable Medical Equipment, other health care providers, etc.), understanding priorities for the delivery of quality patient care.
- Coordinates with Discharge Planners for the continuum of patient care, for example, durable medical equipment (DME) and Levels of Care.
Qualifications
- Current CA RN license.
- Must be able to type a minimum of 45-55 wpm.
- Fluent in medical terminology.
- Must have strong communication and written grammatical skills.
- Current Basic Life Support (Healthcare Provider) certification.
