As a Nursing Sim Lab Technician, you will play a crucial role in the development and delivery of our nursing education program. You will be responsible for maintaining and operating our state-of-the-art simulation equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition for student use. This will involve setting up scenarios, operating computerized manikins, and providing technical support during simulation exercises. You will also collaborate with faculty members to develop and implement innovative simulation experiences that enhance student learning and clinical competency.

Essential Functions:
- Maintain and operate simulation equipment, ensuring it is in optimal condition
- Set up and prepare simulation scenarios, including props, manikins, and software
- Operate computerized manikins during simulation exercises, adjusting settings as needed
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting guidance to faculty and students during simulations
- Collaborate with faculty to develop and implement innovative simulation experiences
- Assist with the selection and procurement of simulation equipment and supplies
- Maintain inventory of simulation equipment, ensuring proper functioning and organization
Qualifications:
- Flexible schedule. Minimum One day a weekend. Variable Weekday Schedule
- Monday -Friday early as 6:30am and as late as 5:00pm
- Saturday/Sunday 6:30am and as late as 5:00pm
- Associate degree or certification in related field (e.g., healthcare, technology)
- Previous experience working in a simulation lab or healthcare setting preferred
- Knowledge of simulation equipment and software used in healthcare education
- Strong technical skills, including proficiency in computer systems and software
- Excellent communication and collaborative skills, able to work effectively with faculty, staff, and students
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- $19-$22/hr. All wages based on education and experience.

- Work environment may include skills lab or bedside environments as required by program.
- An incumbent is subject to contact with others, frequent interruptions, noise from talking or office equipment and demanding timelines.
Physical Demands:
- The incumbent regularly sits for extended periods.
- Physical ability to perform the duties as assigned to the program or department.
- Proficient in operating electronic keyboards and other office machines.
- Effective verbal communication skills in answering telephones and providing information with clarity and distinctness.
- Ability to read fine print and operate computers with precision.
- Ability to understand voices over the telephone and in person.
- Able to lift, carry, and/or move objects weighing between 10-25 pounds as needed.
