Description
Location: Beautiful Flagstaff, Arizona
Schedule: 32 hours/week
About Us: At Flagstaff Bone and Joint, we’re more than just an orthopaedic practice – we’re a passionate team dedicated to improving the quality of life for our patients through exceptional care. Serving Northern Arizona since 1978, we’ve built a reputation for clinical excellence and innovative treatments. We’re proud to be a well-established private practice that values teamwork, compassion, and forward-thinking approaches to patient care.
Why You’ll Love Working Here: We are looking for a motivated Physician Assistant (PA-C) to join our collaborative and fast-paced team! In this role, you will work side-by-side with Dr. Catlea Gorman, DPM, a highly respected foot and ankle specialist, to provide personalized care for our patients. You’ll be a key part of the patient journey, building comprehensive treatment plans and directly assisting Dr. Gorman in the operating room 2-3 times a month. However, your primary focus will be patient care in the clinic, helping them get back on their feet (literally!) and resume their active lifestyles.
As a Physician Assistant (PA-C) at Flagstaff Bone and Joint, you will be supported like never before! You’ll have your own dedicated medical assistant (MA) who is solely focused on helping you run your clinic efficiently – no sharing with other providers. In addition, we provide a DME/Casting tech to assist with patient needs like bracing and casting, so you and your MA can stay focused on delivering top-notch care without falling behind. This is one of the many things that set us apart and ensures that you can provide excellent care in a well-organized and patient-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver Expert Care: Assess, diagnose, and treat foot and ankle conditions alongside Dr. Gorman, providing patients with top-notch care and support throughout their treatment.
- Assist in Surgeries: Join Dr. Gorman in the operating room 2-3 times per month as needed, gaining valuable hands-on experience in surgical care while making a meaningful impact.
- Manage Treatment Plans: Develop customized care plans, monitor patient progress, and work closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Build Relationships: Cultivate trust and lasting relationships with patients, offering guidance and encouragement every step of the way.
Requirements
- Passionate about Foot & Ankle Care: You have a genuine interest in foot and ankle care and enjoy helping patients recover and thrive.
- Team Player: You love working in a team-oriented environment and have a knack for collaboration and problem-solving.
- Detail-Oriented: You’re focused, organized, and dedicated to delivering exceptional care to every patient.
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited PA program with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
- Current BLS certification.
- Experience in surgical first assisting OR completion of a first assist program (preferred but not required).
