Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel – Mammography Tech
Shift: Days / 7:30a-4p, 8×5, 40hrs per week
Length: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- 1 year experience
- Will accept less than 2 years experience
- 1st time travelers
- BLS
- 2 year experience in Mammography preferred
The Mammography Technologist operates x-ray equipment and performs a variety of mammography-related diagnostic procedures. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and exposure technique. This position is critical to Washington Radiology; by providing outstanding care and efficient results, the technologist impacts the profitability of the organization as well as the patient experience.
Mammography Skills / Procedures / Experience:
Digital – Required
3D – Required
Two years of experience in Mammography preferred
*Will accept less than 2 years experience and 1st time travelers.
Knowledge of database software, RIS/PACS software and eRad is preferred; Experience with diagnostic procedures such as ultrasound core and stereotactic biopsies is preferred; Prior quality control experience preferred; Ability to read, write, and comprehend medical terminology; Ability to stand for long periods of time.
REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES:
BLS
Completion of a formal radiologic technology training program and hold current certification by ARRT in Radiography;
ARRT advanced level certification in mammography with documentation of clinical experience, or MQSA qualified and (M) registry eligible;
Current on all required continuing education and continuing experience as required by MQSA and ARRT;
Must possess non-restricted licensure in state work location; New applicants: ETA 6-8 weeks for license.
Graduation from high school or equivalent and completion of a training program in imaging technology from an accredited school.
