Behavioral Health Program Manager
The State of Connecticut, Department of Children and Families (DCF), is seeking a highly skilled and qualified Behavioral Health Program Manager in the Behavioral Health Community Services. This position is responsible for the oversight of the multiple substance use contracts for adults and adolescents offered by the Department throughout the state.
Position Highlights:

8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

The Role:
As the Behavioral Health Program Manager, you must be able to manage large multi-faceted projects involving multiple disciplines and agencies. You must also be able to manage and prioritize several tasks at once and coordinate with other Behavioral Health Program Managers, Program Supervisors, Project Managers with other state agencies. The Behavioral Health Program Manager must be knowledgeable and have experience in Substance Use Disorder and ASAM Criteria which is the most widely used and comprehensive set of guidelines for placement, continued stay, transfer, or discharge of patients with substance use and co-occurring conditions. This position may also be responsible for supervision of other projects as well as managing million-dollar budgets and contracts.
Qualifications & Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE
Eight (8) years of experience in business or health care administration, program development involving responsibility for financial management, budget development or grants management, professional health care or social services.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - SUBSTITUTIONS ALLOWED
College training may be substituted for the General Experience on the basis of fifteen (15) semester hours equalling one-half (1/2) years of experience to a maximum of four (4) years for a Bachelor's degree.
A Master's degree in public or health care administration, a Master's degree in business administration with a specialization in health services or hospital administration, a Master’s degree in social work or a Master's degree in a related health care discipline may be substituted for one (1) additional year of the General Experience.

These services are provided in the home or community, often preventing the need for more intensive or restrictive care such as hospital, residential, or group home services.
