RN, Nurse Manager
Full-Time: 80 hours per 2-week pay period
This position primarily works business hours M-F, participates in holiday and weekend on-call rotations.
RN, Nurse Manager – Memory Care / Long Term Care
Riverside Transitional Care is seeking a skilled RN to use their high-quality clinical, supervisory, and customer service skills as a Nursing Manager in our Memory Care Units (The Lighthouse) and the 600 long-term care unit. The Nursing Manager will join us in leading a solid team of licensed and certified healthcare professionals to provide caring and compassionate nursing care to up to 54 residents. This RN works directly with The Lighthouse Social Worker.
What You’ll Do
- Implement the day-to-day functions of the Nursing Department for units under your supervision to maintain standards of resident care.
- Assist with development, implementation, and evaluation of care plans for routine and complex resident care.
- Coordinate resident-centered care from admission through discharge, consistent with regulations and established best practices.
- Responsible for the accurate and timely completion of the MDS for residents under your care. Monitors and communicates changes in the MDS process to administration and interdisciplinary team members.
- Conduct care plan conferences with team members, residents, and families.
- Provide leadership, while acting as a resource for residents with dementia, their families, and staff.
- The Nurse Manager will supervise a team of nurses and CNAs: coordinate training, supervise staff, and provide coaching when necessary.
- Assist with family support programming per The Lighthouse Philosophy.
What You’ll Need
- Licensed/eligible to practice in the State of Wisconsin as a Registered Nurse.
- BSN preferred; ADN accepted.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
- 2+ years’ experience in a leadership or supervisory role and/or MDS, preferred, not required.
- Experience in acute care or long-term care with demonstrated knowledge and experience in gerontological nursing, including dementia care, rehab, and/or restorative clinical practices beneficial.
