Job Description
Our Medical Affairs team advances patient care by engaging in scientific exchange with external medical experts and industry leaders ensuring the scientific value of our products is understood. We connect, communicate and train internal employees to ensure a thorough understanding of the science behind the medicine and review further unmet medical needs to support collaboration to further differentiate our portfolio.
Support the Medical Director to provide medical, clinical and ethical advice to the medical department and our Taiwan leadership team. Provide medical support for the clinical, regulatory and medical services teams as required. Responsibility for the development and delivery of disease-related training, local studies and disease management projects as required by our subsidiary. Provide medical/clinical input to the commercial team for strategy/execution of tactics to better address customer needs.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Duties and Responsibilities
- Act as a link between our company and key doctors including involvement in local advisory boards, patient education programs and field visits to enhance relationship, company image and product understanding.
- Generate study ideas based on local unmet medical needs and write core protocol.
- Responsible for providing ongoing medical advice and support for all in-line products and related activities.
- Responsible for the disease and basic medical knowledge training for new products and related activities.
- Act as a medical and clinical consultant to our company and act as a medical spokesman externally when necessary.
- Ensure current medical marketing activities are fully compliant with all legal, local and international regulatory requirements, and ABS. Other assignments when required.
WHAT YOU MUST HAVE
Position Requirements
- Education/Professional Certificate
Registered Medical Practitioner. Postgraduate medical qualification would be desirable (e.g. specialty training, Masters degree, PhD). A postgraduate qualification in a business discipline or in public health would be an added bonus.
At least 5 years’ experience in clinical practice and Oncology is preferred. Solid knowledge and experience in a medical related field. Industry experience would be highly desirable.
- Professional knowledge and skill
Board medical and pharmaceutical knowledge and experience. Good internal and external medical contacts and relationships. Understanding of hospital operations and local medical practice. Attention to detail, planning, organizing and problem-solving as strengths. Management/leadership and negotiation skills. Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills. Good learning ability. Good command of both spoken and written English and Mandarin. Computer Literacy. Strong commercial sense.
Technical/Professional Knowledge, Analysis and judgement (Problem Assessment/Problem solving), Adaptability/Initiative, Commercial Awareness, Communication/Negotiation, Teamwork/Collaboration, Presentation/Meeting Facilitation, Customer Service.
